Academia: School Simulator
Squeaky Wheel’s high school management game Academia: School Simulator launched on Steam Early Access today. The game boasts the ability to build your own school, manage the needs of students and faculty, and balance the school’s budget. It also features art made by the artist behind Prison Architect’s unique visual style.
Academia: School Simulator is now available on Steam Early Access for $19.99, temporarily discounted to $15.99 for the week of release.
Archaica: The Path of Light
Two Mammoths’ beautiful lasers-and-mirrors puzzle game Archaica: The Path of Light has officially launched. The game features a detailed world filled with “finely designed levels” and an “intriguing,” but optional narrative.
Archaica: The Path of Light is now available on Steam for $14.99, temporarily discounted to $13.49 for the week of release.
Hive: Altenum Wars
Catness Game Studios’ side-scrolling multiplayer hero shooter Hive: Altenum Wars launched on Steam Early Access today. The game features a unique system that tilts the camera so that you can see more of the level in the direction that you are currently facing and hexagonal battlefields in which gravity changes depending on which side you’re on. The Early Access initial version features seven characters, each of which can use between five and seven weapons, and Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Survival modes.
Hive: Altenum Wars is now available on Steam Early Access for $5.99, temporarily discounted to $4.79 for the week of release.
MMEU and Swimming Scorpions’ top-down mech shooter Startide launched on Steam today. The game features a mech customization system that allows players to build their mechs piece by piece. Each of the opponents that players take on throughout the game is procedurally generated based on their current progress. The game also features an online ranked PvP mode for those who want to test both their creations and their skills against other players.
Startide is now available on Steam for $9.99, temporarily discounted to $8.99 for the week of release.
Gu Jian Qi Tan 1 and 2
The original Gu Jian Qi Tan RPG series, which is also known as The Legend of the Ancient Sword series, made its way to Steam late last night. The first game follows the lone survivor of a village that was massacred named Baili Tusu as he and several allies set off on a journey to find the pieces of a broken jade that are being used for evil and reunite them, rendering them harmless. The first game features a turn-based combat system, whereas the second game features a more unique real-time combat system.
Both games are now available on Steam. Gu Jian Qi Tan is available for $11.99, temporarily discounted to $7.19 for the week of release, whereas Gu Jian Qi Tan 2 is available for $15.99, temporarily discounted to $9.59 for the week of release. A bundle of both games is available for $27.98, temporarily discounted to a mere $7.05 for the week of release. Unfortunately, both games are only available in Simplified Chinese.
Frogdice’s ambitious dungeon-crawling MMORPG Stash officially launched as a free-to-play game late last night. The game features turn-based, grid-based tactical combat, a Base of Operations that you build up from a “humble bedroll […] into a mighty fortress,” both hand-crafted and procedurally generated dungeons, crafting, a storyline, and more.
Stash is now available on Steam as a free-to-play game. Two optional DLC packs are available for $14.99 and $49.99, respectively, offering premium currency, a mount, and exclusive Founder’s items, among other bonuses.
