Of all of the genres that I expected to begin carving out a niche on the Nintendo Switch early on, the rhythm game genre wasn’t one of them. I enjoy rhythm games, but the large majority of them are on mobile devices and in arcades these days. Regardless, Rayark led the charge with a Switch version of its mobile rhythm game Voez, followed by a Switch version of its piano-focused mobile rhythm game Deemo. Now, PM Studios and Acttil have announced that they are planning to bring their rhythm game SUPERBEAT: XONiC to Nintendo Switch on November 21st.
SUPERBEAT: XONiC utilizes a unique form of rhythm gameplay that displays notes in two semi-circles with three lanes each. It boasts a soundtrack of more than 65 songs that can all be played in three levels of difficulty. Both local and online leaderboards allow you to compete for high scores.
Previously available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch version will launch with seven free DLC songs. They are as follows.
“1. Rackin Gravity by 7 Sequence
2. Neko-kun by Basiscape
3. Select, Start by Steven Silo
4. Donut Island by Steven Silo
5. Oh-Wei-Oh by Bentley Jones
6. STUTTA 2.0 by Bentley Jones
7. Talk 2 U by Bentley Jones”
SUPERBEAT: XONiC is set to be released on Nintendo Switch on November 21st. Its price has yet to be announced.
