Super Bomberman R Patch 1.3 Reduces Lag, Upcoming Costumes Include Pyramid Head And Simon Belmont

Super Bomberman R originally launched to moderate reception on March 3rd. It’s a solid Bomberman game, but one of the core concerns was that there wasn’t enough content to justify the $49.99 price tag. Today’s patch might help with that a little bit.

Patch 1.3 went live today, introducing four new VS stages and two new series of accessories. It also reduces lag in online games and improves the game’s overall framerate. Additionally, the Five Dastardly Bombers have seen their strength in Story Mode “adjusted” and the Beginning and Normal difficulties have seen their overall difficulty reduced.

Additionally, it was announced that Castlevania’s Simon Belmont, Silent Hill’s Pyramid, and Gradius’ Vic Viper will be introduced as costumes in a future update. Konami has not yet announced whether these costumes will cost money or when they will be released. However, you can get an early look at the designs of the new costumes in the images embedded below.
