THQ Nordic announced today that the “extended” version of Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture’s acclaimed shmup Sine Mora, the aptly-titled Sine Mora EX, is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 8th. The EX version of the game will offer the ability to play the game in 16:9 resolutions, rather than 16:10, full English voice overs, the ability for two players to play the Story mode cooperatively, new challenge levels, “improved rendering,” and three versus modes: Dodgeball, Race, and Tanks.
The original Sine Mora garnered attention largely due to its beautiful graphics and unique loss condition. In Sine Mora, players are given a set amount of time to complete each level. Taking damage will temporarily speed time up, whereas destroying enemies will give them more time. If the timer hits zero, it’s game over.
Sine Mora EX is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 8th. A Nintendo Switch version will follow at a later date.
