The critically acclaimed PlayStation VR game and Rez remake Rez Infinite has debuted on PC. The game takes players through a cyberworld “on the verge of collapse” in an attempt to save it. They will primarily do so by shooting various enemies in traditional Rez form; lock onto them by moving the crosshair over them and then fire at all enemies that you’ve locked onto at once. As with the original Rez, the visuals are highly stylized and quite surreal.
While Rez Infinite was developed primarily as a VR game, it can be played without a VR headset. For those of you that do own a VR headset, both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are supported. Additionally, the PC version introduces higher quality textures, support for arbitrary resolutions, and the ability to play with practically any controller.
Rez Infinite is now available on Steam and Oculus Home for $24.99, temporarily discounted to $19.99 for the week of release. Those who are interested also have the option of purchasing a $35 PC Collector’s Edition from the iam8bit store.
