UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH EXE: LATE[ST] localization coming for NA and EU

Aksys Games have announced at Anime Expo 2017 that the upgraded “Late[st]” version of arcade fighter Under Night In-Birth Exe will be localized for North America and Europe. The new update adds new characters (Enkidu and Wagner), character re-balancing, and new tutorial and mission modes. The Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 versions of the game will support cross-play.

The game originally released back in 2012 in SEGA arcades. An updated arcade version called Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late was released in 2013, and was subsequently ported to various gaming platforms. It finally made its way to North America on the PS3 in 2015. In 2015, the updated version of the game UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH EXE: LATE[ST] was released in Japan, and now we’re finally getting it localized for the west. It’s had an exceedingly long journey, to say the least.

It’s unclear right now whether or not the Steam version of the game released in 2016 will be updated alongside the console re-release.
