If you’ve played We Need to Go Deeper, you’ve probably noticed that it is extremely difficult to play on your own. Much like Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, the game practically requires a full crew of four in order to survive. Fortunately, developer Deli Interactive is aware of this and has implemented a solution in the latest update: Crew Bots.
Crew Bots are new AI crew members that can help you survive the depths of the game’s Jules Verne-esque undersea world by performing various tasks that would normally be performed by actual players. For example, they can repair your vessel, fight off enemies that get inside your vessel, operate your vessel’s weapons, change power levels when told to, revive downed players, and explore caverns for you. They can usually make decisions about what they should be doing on their own, but you can also give them commands, should you think that they would be more useful doing something else.
The update also includes a Halloween event called “The Heads of the Horseman.” This event features two seasonal enemies and a new mini-boss, the latter of which is the Headless Horseman himself. During this event, players will be able to find the rather creepy vegetable heads that the Horseman has lost or even claim his wardrobe as their own, should they find and defeat him. This event is set to run until November 10th.
