Previously set to be released on Halloween, Flux Game Studio’s gory, comedic fighting game GUTS has been delayed to November 15th. No reason was given for the delay, bit it was noted that it will be launching with “extra polish.”
GUTS alters the traditional fighting game formula significantly, removing both health bars and timers from the equation. Instead, players use ultimate moves called “GUTS Moves” and environmental hazards to dismember their opponent; they are only defeated upon being completely dismembered. The game will offer nine fighters, a single-player story with two endings per character for a total of 18 endings, local and online multiplayer, and “party game modes.” You can read more about the game in our interview with Flux Game Studio studio head Paulo Luis Santos.
GUTS is set to launch on Steam on November 15th. A demo is currently available on the Steam store page. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are set to follow the PC version early next year.
